Josh Gad of “The Daily Show” and “21”

Josh Gad on his big Broadway break.

Josh found his way into acting through Forensics.  He won the National Forensics League National Tournament Championships in Humorous Interpretation and Original Oratory in 1999.  He went on to study at Carnegie Mellon University, School of Drama.  In 2006, he took over the role of William Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, (which I was lucky enough to see him perform!) and since then he has hardly stopped working.  Most recently, he is the newest corespondent on The Daily Show, and has just wrapped filming on the feature Love and Other Drugs, with Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.  He continues to write and create his own work with the comedy group The Lost Nomads.
