Video Interview with Silas Weir Mitchell from Prison Break

On Finding your Type & Breaking out of it

I first met Silas years ago when we worked together on a staged reading of Ken Prestininzi’s Amerikafka. I was immediately impressed by his intelligence and dedication to his craft. His television credits are too numerous to list here, having appeared in over 100 episodes of various shows, most notably My Name is Earl and Prison Break, and many feature films. He has worked with Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis, Burt Reynolds and Kiefer Sutherland, to name but a few. Throughout it all, he has stayed an active member of the Los Angeles theater community, at one point working as Artistic Director of the Met Theater. We are so happy to have such a consummate “actor’s actor” launch our video series.
